FilmL.A. is a private, non-profit, public benefit corporation, created in 1995 to streamline the film permit process and provide filmmakers with the convenience of one-stop filming assistance. Before 1995, the City of Los Angeles and County of Los Angeles each operated its own film office. FilmL.A. integrates and privatizes film permitting for both offices as well as other municipalities, the Los Angeles Unified School District and the Angeles National Forest. FilmL.A.’s Board is representative of all the stakeholders in on-location filming: studios and independent producers, commercial producers, industry guilds and unions, major industry vendors, and neighborhood and civic leaders. Classic Hollywood:
From Hollywood Squares Original version (1966-1981)
Peter Marshall: Do female frogs croak?
Paul Lynde - If you hold their little heads under water long enough.

Trivia Time: Sometimes quirky creative types decide to play an inside joke when producing their projects. For example, legendary director Alfred Hitchcock appeared in brief cameos in many of his movies. But what do you suppose the folks behind the hit sitcom, Seinfeld, did? There was something consistent in every Seinfeld episode. Was a clock in a scene always set to 12:00 noon? Did Jerry’s character always wear a rubber band around his wrist? I know, I know…I’ve watched all those episodes in reruns dozens of times and I never caught it. Here’s a hint: Every episode of Seinfeld contains an image or reference to something. Do you know the answer? Here it is: Every episode contains an image or reference to the superhero Superman! Jerry later teamed up with an animated Superman for a series of American Express commercials.
