We’re working on even MORE upgrades to our service in the new year and you’ll be the first to know… Trivia Time: It’s the end of the year and Google has released the top searches for both Google.com and Google News. There are so many choices running through my brain. Let’s see…what happened last year? By the end of the year it becomes such a blur! Well, there were some deaths…Crocodile Hunter Steve Irwin; actors Jack Palance, Dennis Weaver, Shelley Winters, Chris Penn and Don Knotts; singers Wilson Pickett, Gene Pitney and most recently James Brown, industry legends Aaron Spelling, Joseph Barbera and Robert Altman. And at the end of this year former president Gerald Ford and Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein. But NONE of these people made the top ten list. So, what event in 2006 could have motivated so many people to search for it? It may surprise you! The #1 Google.com search for the year was bebo. Bebo is a social networking site and it out searched the number two term, uber-successful networking site MySpace. There is also a list for Google News and making the top-o-the-list in that category was none other than Paris Hilton. See what surprising tidbits the planet is searching for these days at www.google.com/intl/en/press/zeitgeist2006.htmlHey Cheatsheeters!
