Trivia Time:  Who is the only individual to win an Oscar, Emmy and Tony in the same year?  Let’s think…that would be someone who has been involved with the big screen, the small screen, and the stage.  How about Alan Alda?  This accomplished thespian was sizzling hot in 2005, receiving an Oscar nomination for The Aviator, an Emmy nod for his supporting role in West Wing, and a Tony nomination for his performance in the acclaimed Broadway revival of Glengarry Glen Ross.  But those were NOMINATIONS, not WINS.  And Jason Robarbs was nominated for all three in 1978; for Julia, A Touch of the Poet and Washington: Behind Closed Doors but out of those nominations, he only took home the Oscar statuette.   Oh, and Paul Newman repeated the accomplishment in 2003; receiving an Oscar nomination for The Road to Perdition and a Tony and Emmy nomination for his turn as the Stage Manager in Our Town, but once again…not WINS.  Hint:  The trivia question asks which individual won an Oscar, Emmy and Tony in the same year – not necessarily an ACTOR.  Give Up?  The winner is Bob Fosse, winning the Oscar for Cabaret, the Tony for Pippin, and the Emmy for Liza with a Z.  The fabulous Fosse accomplished this hat trick in 1973.
